Good solution for carrying light loads. Mounts securely. Do have to swing leg a little higher when mounting the bike.
A decent seatpost rack for the price June 17, 2009 Nick T. Mere I've essentially been using this as a U-lock holder and occasionally will bungee a milk crate to it for big grocery runs, however there are a few issues with it.
-the outer edge is not reinforced and will bend out over time with a heavy u-lock; you can bend it back easily, but it's something you need to be aware of
-it goes straight out from the seatpost and does not have a V-kink; this means that the rack is a bit high compared with the seat and makes stepping over the bike a bit more difficult, especially if you have a milk crate bungeed to it.
If those are concerns you may want ot look at the delta rack which is reinforced and has a "v" bend, but is $10 more. Otherwise I'd recommend it.
Good Rack for the money August 29, 2008 D. Livingston (TX) Good quality, though I wish it was a bit longer as my tail bag hangs a couple of inches of the back edge. Other than that, it seems well made and looks good on the bike.
Lasted 4 Years August 8, 2008 J. Howlett 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I used this for four years to carry a small bag with my lunch in it. Today when I went over a bump in the road it sheared off where it connects to the seat post. The weld broke. I would not recommend this since I wasn't carrying a lot of weight and it still broke.
