4 out of 5 stars Great hooks, lousy anchors   July 24, 2010
lee bowen-bradshaw (Minneapolis)
Based on the other reviews, we used the provided anchors to mount the hooks, big mistake. When the bikes(average weight road bikes)were hung, they both pulled out of the wall leaving large holes that needed to be patched in freshly painted walls. After using toggle anchors, the bikes hang beautifully. These hooks are simple and very easy to use. I would highly recommend the hooks, but please, buy different anchors.

5 out of 5 stars Form and Function   April 11, 2010

These racks are very simple and perform just right. They hold the rim just right, and the bike goes in and out with the right finesse. Oh, and they are an appealing design. I wouldn't think twice about hanging them in an apartment/flat.

Easy to hook the bike on and the tire rest for the wall save the
wall from getting messed up

1 out of 5 stars does not stay on dry wall   March 15, 2010

first of all just want to say that i have a road bike, and its less than 40lbs. it holds the bike right after install. but when i put the back on for the 2nd time. it pulls the wall rack out and made 2 holes on the wall.
they should make an angle down the screws and not flat into the wall!

5 out of 5 stars Man It's Not Easy   February 16, 2010
schmecher (Los Angeles, CA United States)
I have a hybrid bike. I decided to mount this with my back wheels resting on the floor because I didn't want to go hunting for a stud and drilling holes in my wall. Let me tell you, it's not an easy thing to do alone. I finally got it down after a few grunts and tries but it still requires me to lift the bike up to get it into the hook and have everything fit snuggly. I have no doubt it could support a hanging bike though, it is similar in quality to most bike hangers I've seen at stores.
